The data collection is for the profit of the company. It's stealing at its maximum technical level. There are a lot of good spyware programs available. Windows Defender that comes with all Windows operating systems now, but it doesn't begin running on your computer unless you activate it. You could find it under programs and simply turn it on. It'll update but will not scan for spyware already in your computer unless you begin a whole computer scan from its menu. If Windows Defender or other spyware affects a program you don't want it to or will not let you access a web site you can either turn it off or set it to allow your program.
